NENA Physicians Active in Early Stroke Intervention/tPA Working
Groups at Lowell General Hospital and Holy Family Hospital
Dr. Jonathan Moray has been active in developing protocols within a task
force at Lowell General Hospital for the appropriate use of tPA in early stroke
intervention. This activity is part of a joint effort with the Massachusetts Hospital
Association. Dr. Moray has a special interest in stroke, its early treatment, and the
education effort required of patients and physicians to view stroke as a "brain attack".
Dr. Moray has been joined on this task force by NENA neurosurgeon Dr. William McCann
and behavioral neurologist Dr. James Whitlock. A similar working group
is active at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA, with the support and participation of
Dr. Peter J. Grillo, Dr. Richard Selbst, and Dr. Thomas Cody.
